What's Paul's "R9"?

Unless I'm mistaken his newest R8 is a complete custom ROM, which means it would over write the Advent 1.09 ROM.

Sorry very 8 performance pack etc.

Just installed thumb keyboard still getting used to it:)

Like I said the R8 is a complete ROM, so you having installed 1.09 beforehand will not have made any difference.

That makes sense but does not explain button Savior issue?

So does that mean that I have none of the improvements of the 1.09 if I install the r8 over the top but not by cw? I thought it was a rom addon? What exactly was the changelog for the 1.09? Differences from the 1.08 apart from flash certified which is the 1.20 that officially came with the vega I think and the screen alignment app?

Button Savior works just great with me, so not sure what the problem could be on your device?

yes his latest MCR is a complete rom regardless of how you flash it. It will overwrite any rom you currently have on the vega with the 1.08 one he has customised.

Hi.

Did you get Button Savior to work?

I had it working and paid for the Pro version then had to reflash everything.

I flashed the latest stock ROM then the MCR r8 ROM.

Menu and Back buttons no longer work.

I've Googled a bit and found it could be problem with the version of the superuser files installed - i opened SuperUser and checked for updates and no updates were found.

It could also be that USB debugging is not enabled - but i have that enabled and have disabled/rebooted/re-enabled it many times with no success.

Finally - do you have to have your Vega booted with USB slave mode enabled?

I tried booting with slave and then host mode enabled and again it made no difference to Button Savior.

Anyone else got any ideas?
