Help required with Dell Streak

Hi,

I am from india and got my first android device today as dell streak unlocked form the US.

I am unable to send sms as everytime i try to save the sms center number i get the error SMSC save failed.

Also when i try to save it from phone information i get update/refresh error.

Please help me as i am a total newbie to android.
