Spotify on Advent Vega

Has anyone had any issues with Spotify on the Advent Vega?

I have installed and re-intsalled it ok but everytime i log in it automatically (within a few seconds) switches to offline mode, despite the fact that my wireless is up and running.

It works fine on my HTC desire and from what i can gather other Vega users have it running ok.

I have contacted Spotify but they have said that they don't support it on the Vega, even though i am a Premium Customer.

Any help as to what the problem might be would be great.

Nope, works fine for me and never goes to offline mode. Out of curiosity, have you tried creating a WiFi hotspot on your Desire and tried connecting your Vega to that to test? Maybe something is flaky with your router perhaps?

i have this problem at work, but at home everything works fine... this is with my Vega/Mobii and my Galaxy S..

i'm guessing that soms ports are closed at my work, webradio also doesn't work there...

have you tried other wifi points ? at friends places or something ?

I have tried setting my desire as a wifi hotspot but still it goes offline. The strange thing is that Spotify on my htc desire works fine when connected to my router.

I guess i could try another wifi location but i am not holding out much hope as i have tried using the phone as a hotspot.

I know it is not the device either as this is my second Vega and it did not work properly on that one either.

At least i know that it should work, so there must be a solution

Thanks

I have only been able to make Spotify work if I don't try and use offline playlists.

With offline playlists active it winks on and off, then settles offline. I do not know why.

Sounds like my problem. I think the application has a bug, whereby it gets confused with offline playlists, although it appears that not many people have this problem.

Going to try a few other things later

Yeh that worked for me. That is going to be annoying if you have to do that everytime. Weird how it only effects vega?

Well done for trying the delete, as had only tried a re-install.

Must be a bug
