We need the exact error message too then when you have it try a Google of that and see what comes up and let us know.

This appears to be something happening to all ROMS checkout the XDA forums, you may want to try this suggestion as a temp fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...245&page=33 (did not work for me but has for others) Edited February 15, 2011 by nickj76
Guest nickwarn Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I have the same problem i have tryed with CM7 rom and Tegra gapps i have tryed with r8 wich has always worked. The problem is, i flash a new rom and go in to settings to register my google account. I type in my username and password and get back the message thaat google cant establish a reliable data connection. It all started with me flashin the new 1.09 and try to fflash gapps to it, i got the same message then. So i flash CM7 and tegra gapps, same thing and then i go back to r8 and no luck, same error. Has anyone else managed to register an google account to day? I did it this morning when i flashed my Desire HD with the latest CM7 Nightlie then it worked. Hopefully its just a short error or maybe they have locked us down.

Guest trevor432990 Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Oh dear Google seem to be having more than their fare share of problems with the Android Market right now and I haven't been able to login to the PC version of the market yet as my browsers say it is an 'Untrusted' site due to lack of certificates or some such. Well at least it is not the Vega playing up :D
Guest Juan Pedro Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 when I go to a google account get the following message and I do not validate can not establish a reliable data connection to the server Thank you very much

Guest spacecadetuk Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Same here, after lots of playing with my Vega and installing, uninstalling trying different roms etc over the last couple of months i decided to start fresh, deleted my memory card, flashed with the new r8 rom and was in the process of trying to put some apps back on when, ooops can't connect to my account when trying to get to the market, getting the same error as others, "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server", i was quite pleased to see it's not just me and i hope it will be sorted soon :D

Can't login to google account through market app, but can through browser. Can't use web-market as you need to be logged into a google app on the vega (market website mentions google talk) Cheers, Xio
Guest pmcg1 Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Market Enabler did the trick for me too but this is real weird. Anyone know what's going on here?
Guest spacecadetuk Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 well got it working using the market enabler trick but everything is now priced in dollars, would like to find out whats happened here and if possible get back the usual access

I just keep getting the "We have a problem, Houston :D" error Cheers, Xio

Guest MonkeyBoy451 Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Seems like Google have switched something on at their end in the market and its detecting all these devices that arent supposed to have the Market on them and not allowing you to log in with your Google Account? Just decided this evening to flash r8 onto my Vega after doing some messing around with the v1.09 firmware to see what's changed and came across the same issue as the OP. Hopefully its only a temporary thing and not something thats going to require alot of hacking around!

Also, @spacecadet: Managed to get the marketenabler to work, but had to root the vega using Z4root first. Worked a treat - thanks!

Guest trevor432990 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Hmmm bad news ... strange thing is I can still sign-in and download on my account presumably because I have not re-flashed my system so we've just got to figure out what the trigger is at the Google end. Come back Paul !! :D

Come back Paul !! :( Old thread but this problem still exists. I just upgraded from R6 and now with 1.09 from Advent and now I get it too. Any ideas Paul? Logging in to the uTube app with full google address certainly seems to work. Bit odd though. The market enabler also works but goes to us dollars as there isn't a uk option. But if you dont set it as the fixboot option, login in etc and then do a hard restart market still works but is back in sterling.... emmm....
