PoV (aka Advent Vega) with non functioning 3g slot?

Hi everyone.

I recently bought another Point of view tablet for one of my family members. When I received it today, I saw that it has a 3g sim card slot. The firmware doesnt support it (yet?), but that is no big deal to me. The major problem is that I am unable to sign in at the android market app (i've installed the vega fw and pauls r8). The market app says it cannot find a usable connection, but wifi is working fine when surfing the internet. Can someone please offer me a good solution or alternarive? Many thanks in advance!

Hi .... if your problem is to do with Android Market can you use that in the topic subject field next time please as it makes it easier to understand what your real problem is also if you go six posts down from yours you will find another post entitled 'Google Accounts' which describes exactly the same problem with a solution too :D

try to sign into another google app e.g. gtalk then try the market again.

Sorry, newbie here.... Maybe it's possible that the tablet tries to connect by 3g? Other apps, like gmail, are having the same problems. Good to know that I'm not the only one with these problems.
