[REQ] LG Apps from Eclair

I was wondering if anyone can extract a few apps from the Eclair rom?

Im running 2.3.2 CM 7.0.0 and I miss a few apps from the default install :)

The ones of interest to me would be ;

• LG Camera / Video App
  
• Twitter for LG
  
• Facebook for LG
  
• LG IME
  

if anyone can get ANY of those apps , I will be very grateful :)

if not , can anyone direct me as to how to extract things from LG's .KDZ firmwares?

i've never done such before, but i would try:

1. create a backup of the current system using clockwork

2. downgrade to an official lg rom

3. install titanium backup for root / other app to create backup of the desired apps

4. restore the clockwork backup

5. install the apk

6. share the apps with the world

i think it should work, as titanium backup has access to these stuffs, it can even uninstall them.

I think this won't work.I've tried backing up several apps with titanium backup(lg system apps).

Try this instead:

Connect phone to pc

Turn on usb debugging

download the android sdk and place it in the c drive

change the cmd destination to C:\android-sdk-windows\tools (here's a tutorial.click

)

open cmd and type in order

adb remount

adb pull /system/app/"yourappname"

do the adb pull for every app

you'll find the apk files in the android-sdk-windows tools folder

home+power to reboot in recovery ,

then recover with clockwork? :D

im considering which LG rom to use though , 1.6 or 2.1

and will i need to root it to use titanium ?

(sorry for all the questions , but will the LG rom not remove the recovery img?)

again,titanium won't help.Use the tutorial I posted.

You can't go back to 1.6,so go to 2.1

i've already modded this phone 4 times so far , 2.1 quarz , 2.2 , 2.2 gingerbread theme and now 2.3 , i think i know what to do LOL :D

I had one before that was English but can't find it anywhere

If you can find me one ,

I'll be up to flashing it :D
