Guest cacoe Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Thinking about setting a warning in setcpu for high temps in case my overclock starts to fry the cpu. What sort of temperatures start to become a problem for this processor? I know, I know, like everything else, it can vary but in your experience, what constitutes as high a temp for the blade cpu?
Guest martinhy Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 temp > 50°C (122°F) i always get the temp for about 37degree when usb tethering, is it too hot? i tried to get 40+ during wifi tethering of gprs network under sunlight, but the system is still stable
Guest richardop Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) Mine has only gotten up to 30°C, or that's the highest I have observed! (stock speed) What app are you guys using to measure temperature? Is there a temperature probe on the CPU? or just the battery? edit: 35c after playing hex defense! Guest ellhead Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I'm sat in a welcome break now. have been using gps and 3g for an hour. the phones plugged into cigarette lighter. looked at the temperature sensor: 52 degrees!!! and that's the battery. god only knows what the proc is. are we covered if these phones burn up?? not overclocking ether!!
