Preparing sd card, checking for errors In the notification bar. Is there anything i can do to fix this? I have tried rebooting several times, but to no avail.....

Mine has just gave me the samemassage. I tried the SD card in the PC & it could see all the files so I tried it in the Vega again for it to say the same thing. I then put it in the PC to try to copy the files off & it failed straight away. I've ended up having to format the thing (the Vega couldn't even see it to format it) & am currently copying my media back to it. It's a right pain in the backside as I had a load of apps installed to the SD card & I had to uninstall & reinstall them (is there an automatic way to do that?).

Good luck with it.

Out of interest were these the stock SD cards delivered with the Vega originally or new ones you have added ? :D

Mine was a 16GB class 4 Toshiba from 7dayshop. It seems all right since I formatted it?

Preparing sd card checking for errors

Hi all

My vega was refusing to move app to its sd card, telling me it was full. It had 2gb free.

Then I read that the sd card had to be formated by the Vega. So I back up everything on my Mac and try to format the sd card.

Surprise, I got the message : "preparing sd card checking for errors".

I tried the original sd card that came with the Vega, but the same asnswer.

Someone mention on XDA to "delete fsck_msdos from bin". But when I try, it refuse to be deleted.

So now, I am with two sd card non working.

Any idea? I cannot reformat the card on my mac.

Thanks

I used to have similar problems with the sd in my old zte blade.

What always worked for me was connecting it to my MacBook in a reader and using the repair disk part of disk utility. It would then work again in the phone
