Guest cacoe Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I use group contacts on the gmail client and everything is super organised, yet, contacts on android seems to just lump everyone together. Is there an option hiding somewhere to enable group contacts, as in, organise them by group, then name? Or at least an alternative contacts app which supports this. Thanks.

Are you synchronising your Computer-gMail contacts with your Phone contacts? I started with a whole bunch of contacts imported from another phone (Nokia via Bluetooth). But the Blade didn't offer me Groups and they had lost the groups they were in on the old phone. Having created a gmail account, I sync'd the phone to it. I noticed that the computer was showing a gMail Groups facility. So, I created some groups with the computer in gMail and sorted my contacts into them. After I sync'd again ... my phone knew all about Groups, and had everyone arranged as I had put them on the computer ... That was with the original Orange UK rom. And I've had those groups ever since, all the way to 2.2 ... Worked for me!
