Can someone help me?

I just got the San Francisco yesterday.

I have unlocked it with a code and it works on 3. I managed to change the setting to connect to the Internet on 3. I also tried to to connect to the Wi-fi in the house. It works on both, I can browse the Internet.

... but I can't download any apps from the market... it just says download starting... and nothing...

I haven't changed anything at the phone except unlocking it.

I have tried to switch it off and on, take the battery out ... cancel all downloads and try downloading just one...

The browsing speed is good even on 3G, but if it doesn't work to download apps is useless ...

And problem no.2 : can I put my own ringtones. I don't see a way of changing the ringtones (except to chose from the few default ones) and I need my custom alarm (I sleep on the singing sounds) ...

Please help me..

do a factory reset

reboot your phone

turn off wifi

register with google account with just 3g on

I tried that and it didn't work

Than someone on another forum suggested to change the account from google mail to gmail on the web and reset and try again ... and it worked !!!

I have to try to download stuff through wifi tonight at home as I only have 1GB a month...
