ScummVM, anybody got Broken Sword working on the Blade?

Just got ScummVM installed, and it's bloody awesome to play those old lucas arts-games. Touchscreen devices are made for those kinds of games! Only problem with the Blade though, how the hell do you do a right-click? According to the ScummVM-faq, "Hold down the camera or search buttons while pressing screen or trackball to get a right mouse click.", but how do yo do that on a blade??? Just got to a place in The Dig where I have to right click. Anybody know what to do?

And another question, have anybody got Broken Sword working on their Blades? When I first ran the game, it started but was really jumpy. Then I realized I forgot the plugin. But after downloading the plugin, it was still as jumpy. I tried uninstalling Broken Sword from scumm(removed it from the list), but it still wont work. Anybody got it working?

And how are you supposed to use the plugins for different games. Googled, but can't find any info. Just download them from the market? Don't need to put them in any certain folder or nothing?

Huh, here you can see it should work on every Android 1.6+ (1.5 devices must have GLES)

Scummvm possible on Android 2.2/2.3?

Normally you have to press a camera or search-button for right-mouse click.

Here a User had created a touchpad like control-scheme, perhaps it's easier with it.

Thansk! Looks just what I needed. But how do you install the plugins? Should I just install them and they find everythng by themselves? Cause i started Broken sword without the plugin, and the game was really laggy and jumpy. Then I remembered to install the plugin, but it just installs and don't ask for a directory or anything. And the game is the same as it was before I installed the plugin.

Bumping this. Anybody knows if Broken Sword works on Blade, and how do you get it to work?

I got this working a while back, I'm not at home at the moment so I'll have to work from memory.

I downloaded and installed the latest version of ScummVM on the San Fran. Then I dug out my original Broken Sword CDs. If you look at the ScummVM site there is a list of games and the required files for them to run. I copied the files from the CDs into a folder on my desktop with the structure advised on the site (and omitting files where advised). There is also an additional download for Broken Sword on the ScummVM site with the movie files if you want to get them to play.

I then copied this folder to the SD card on my San Fran and launched ScummVM and pointed it at the relevant folder. It then picked up Broken Sword as an available game.

Launch the game from ScummVM and it runs.......however it is laggy as anything and pretty much unplayable. I tried swapping a few options about in ScummVM but didn't get any noticeable performance increase. I didn't really look into it much more after this.

I am running on JJ RLS 8 without HW acceleration.

That's almost exactly what I did the first time I ran it(I just didn't follow the filestructure or downloaded the videofiles from the scummvm site). =)

But seems both of us forgot to use the plugin for Broken Sword(there are a bunch of games that apparently requires plugins to run in scummVM). But after I downloaded the plugin, the game is as equally laggy as before.

Anybody got it working with the plugin?

Or know how to use any of the plugins for scummvm?

You should just install the plugins, as you would any app, presumably it drops the required files into a plugins folder in the scummvm installation. Only tried with one plugin, only had the original cd's from Day Of The Tentacle and Sam N Max hit the road... ahh... happy memories..

Seems like the Broken Sword doesn't work here with the official app and the plugin. Might reinstall everything and try again later.

That looks like a great version! Thanks! Solves the problems with controls as well. But do you know why the app asks for full internet access? Broken Sword worked like a charm on it, although I have some hesitations about keeping the app when it requires internet access while the official version don't.
