Guest Scanjet Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Hey all! I am so daft! I formatted my SD card on my Vega to see what happens not realising and forgetting what formatting meant! Now I have an image of an SD card at the top of my Vega with BLANK SD CARD and underneath that 'SD Card blank or has unsupported filesystem.' I have tried choosing MOUNT SD CARD in the 'SD Card & Device Storage Settings' area but that does nothing. When my Vega is connected by USB and can not even turn on USB mass storage on the Vega. Oh what have I done by Erasing the SD card! Help! If it helps I am running the lastest software from Advent and Paul's latest ROM. Scanjet
Guest lydius Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Try to format the card with your pc as FAT32, then mount it into the tablet. Accept re-format if it asks.

Guest simonta Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Maybe you should get an iPad :D To reboot, hold down the power switch until it switches off - ignoring the menu that pops up - just kleep the power switch held down - takes at least 6 seconds. Then hold the power down again until the backlight comes on and wait for it to boot. Post back with result! If you press power and release, it just puts it to sleep. You need to power off and back on to reboot (or install a reboot app from the market).
Guest warriorscot Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Rebooting properly means shutting down from the dialogue not a hard shut down which won't do the same as it will just come back up to its last state. Formatting to fat32 is easy just stick the sd card in a drive or adapter attached to the PC and just select format from device manager. Although it is better to use SDformatter to do it.
Guest Scanjet Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Thanks guys, I will try that fat32 thing right now, but wont I have lost the pre-installed information on the SD card that came with advent, or is that not an issue. Will post back with results!
