Guest Weissauchnicht Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Hello, i'am using a ZTE Blade Oled device with Clockwork 3.0.0.5 and Japanese_Jellyfish_RLS9 Rom. Everything is fine, i have also A2SD enabled (1 GB ext2 partition mountet to /system/sd). Because the reimaining space is getting low, i have the idea to move also the dalvik-cache to SD. I searched this forum and i found the solution with the symlink. This works great, final my dalvik cache under /data/dalvik-cache is a symlink to /system/sd/dalvik-cache (which i moved). I have ~60 MB more space, everything works as expected- installing apps, updating app settings, everything works fine. But if i restart my device, it takes ages and after that the dalvik-cache has been rebuild on the internal memory- the symlink is just away (but the directory /system/sd/dalvik-cache on the sd card exists). What i am doing wrong? Thanks in advance, Dirk
Guest ztedd Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Hm, are you sure that the original directory dalvik-cache was deleted? Then it has to be because some boot script of Japanese Jellyfish. I dont`t know if anyone yet succeeded in applying A2SD+ with JJ RLS9 as described in the guide? Perhaps it`s a general problem.
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Hum I'm art Paris for 2 days it's very difficult t To access forum with the balade (I want to Killian someone Grrrrrrrrfff To resume a2sf doesnt work with jj9 Choose another rom
Guest Acathla- Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I use Darktremor Apps2SD (with Dalvik moved to Ext) fine with JJ9: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7025105 Note: Using version 2.7.5.2-1 (have not tried the latest beta's)
Guest Weissauchnicht Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Thank you for all the answers- maybe i will migrate to another rom. @Acathla: I updated to the newest Darktremor Apps2SD as mentioned in your tread but same result: after a reboot, the dalvik cache is rebuild on the internal storage.
Guest Acathla- Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Make sure you run 'a2sd check' to confirm the settings and if you haven't already, 'a2sd cachesd' to move the cache to SD.
Guest Weissauchnicht Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Thank you Acathla! Now it works- for the cache and data. If i do it manually, it doesn't work (create the symlink) but if i run "a2sd cachesd" and "a2sd datasd" then it works. Dirk
