Guest carl rose Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Has anyone noticed that the home option in the long press of the on/off button is missing? This is a crucial option specially if you have a stuck app or if you are in a game without an exit button. What are your views on this? I am sorry for the multiple threads, freaking vega. Can someone please delete the excess Edited February 17, 2011 by carl rose

Guest carl rose Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Nor mine are you saying the HOME option is missing from the list ?? :D Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. I now only have silent mode, suspend, power off and cancel. This is with the 1.09 extended notifications bar no rc8, all original. Edited February 17, 2011 by carl rose

Guest carl rose Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Can you tell us what it says in your SETTINGS > ABOUT DEVICE under Model Number & Kernel Version please? Thanks for taking the time to help me out trevor. Under model says Vega and under kernel version says 2.6.32.9_P10_v1.09_20110211_DIX
Guest Jenne2112 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Simply install spare parts and tick the option " End Button behavior " then select " home, then sleep". After applying this, a single press brings you back to the homescreen, much easier. Edited February 17, 2011 by Jenne2112
Guest trevor432990 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 There ya go just wait a few minutes and someone will come up with an answer. Still it would be interesting to know why your original home option disappeared :D

Guest Jenne2112 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 No problem. By the way, on my smartsurfer360 FW 1.08 there is also no Home Option in the Powerbutton menu

Still it would be interesting to know why your original home option disappeared :D Yes, I would like to know that as well. I first installed the 1.09 update then on top of it I installed the MCR8 which like it was said makes no sense as the MCR8 ovewrites the 1.09. I then flashed the 1.09 update but did not install the MCR8 and just installed market separatly and did not install the USB Switch R3 either. Just replaced the WPA_SUPPLICANT and restored from the TB backup. By the way, if you make a TB batch it will backup the iLauncher and everything including icons and icon layout is there after the restore (good to know if people don't want to use an alternative laucher like me). Then I noticed that the Home option wasn't there. Can anyone that has just the 1.09 update without the PP or any MCR check if this is the case with their setup?
