Using an android phone as an input device for the Vega.

As the topic says really, I'm interested in using my HTC hero (with it's trackball as a mouse) as a way of controlling my Vega, as a remote keyboard and mouse. It would be awesome if this could also be modded to show a gaming control pad on the Hero screen so it can be used as a pad to play SNES games etc...

Anyone have any experience with this? I'm interested in plugging the vega into the TV and kinda using it as a mini-pc with the Hero as the input device. If anyone has any tips on how to get this doe then I would love to know!

Hi Zeb .... so in effect you are wanting to use the Vega as a kind of games console and your Hero as a controller right? The closest thing I could find to what you are after is the RemoteDroid app which seems to offer the functionality you want although it seems to be designed for Droid to Desktop rather than Droid to Droid that you require so you may need to investigate further or contact the support team there.

Let us know how you get on? :D

OK! I've sent them an email, we'll see if I get a reply :D Actually quite surprised that nobody has done this yet, we already have WiiMote input after all :)

This might offer an alternative to achieving what you want but you will need to private message Nik Louch to check if the trackball works as well :D

If the dock gets cheaper I want to use the tablet as a musicplayer (spotify).

It would indeed be awesome, controlling it with my android-phone (since I am carrying it with me anytime).

Messaged 2 different dev teams now, not heard any reply. Anyone else got any ideas how this might happen?
