Broken San Francisco, how do I?

Hi, I bought a San Francisco second hand without warranty, dropped it and it now has no display. It does work in that it makes the right noises, the touch screen responds to the swipe to unlock but I can't see anything. So two questions, any idea if it might be fixable (I suspect not) and secondly, if I have put it on ebay as spares or repair, is there a way to remove my personal data first please? Any help would be great, thanks!

A warranty wouldn't really be of any help to you in this instance, you could always try your home insurance but probably not worth it for the small amount of money.

To wipe the phone, the easiest way is to download one of the TPT installations onto your sd card and follow the instructions for installing it (power on menu and vol+ if I remember correctly).

I just paid £35 sheets for a dead sanfran on ebay... so it still has value due to the lack of spares.

I only wanted the glass cover but the phone had to be dismantled with a 00posi screwdriver first. The forum is full of people looking for front and back covers, batteries power/data cables.

so you maybe able to offset the dead one against the expense of another (via ebay of course)
