Guest m4rts Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Ive had my blade for about a month now running JJRLS6. I have had no problems with it whatsoever up until this week where the upper back part of the phone is constantly hot and the battery runs out very quickly. I have tried taking the battery out and leaving it off for a while and then restarting and making sure there are no processes running which are not needed, but this has not solved the problem. Has anyone else has a similar problem or knows how to remedy this. I have tried the search, but apparently this fault was fixed in release 6 and as i already mentioned i was having no problems up until this week. I have not installed anything new recently either. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the battery runs out within 6 hours at the moment, with hardly any use apart from email.
Guest ricer Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Have you got JuiceDefender? Have you overclocked it or turned on hardware acceleration? Try turning that off It sounds like somethings using a lot of power, are you using GPS or video a lot? Otherwise it sounds like an issue with the hardware. Looks like your going to have to flash a new ROM on there mate.
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 i had the same problem with JJ roms (even version 9) problem doesn't appear in Paul or FLB roms
Guest m4rts Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 No overclocking or hardware acceleration. Only using it for emails and messaging. Ill try flashing JJRLS9 this weekend. Its just strange that this only started this week but yet ive been using it for a month....
Guest Doc Rumack Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Ill try flashing JJRLS9 this weekend. I had poor battery life with JJ9. Since I flashed with Froyo 2.2 battery life has more than doubled using the same amount of use. Doc.
Guest m4rts Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Which 2.2 rom did you install, maybe ill give that a try...
Guest Doc Rumack Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Which 2.2 rom did you install, maybe ill give that a try... I flashed flb-froyo-blade-r8a three days ago. I notice that flb-froyo-blade-r9b is now available. I've downloaded it but not flashed it as yet. I think I'll see how I get on with r8a for a few days first. Doc.
