Overclocking

Hi all,

I'm running the latest Modaco ROM on my Desire Z. Running great.

But i like to overclock it to 1Ghz or 1,4Ghz. SetCPU gives me a max of 806MHz. :D

How can i unlock the rest of the speed in SetCPU?

You can download kernal manager and flash the kernal but only at your own risk

You can get kernals for the desire z of up to 1.9ghz. But they can be very unstable. So be sure you know what your doing as i can result in you bricking your phone

im running latest cm7 nightly clocked at 1113 mhz really smooth will clock up to 1516mhz, havnt tried it that high though

Really nice that you can clock the phone that much, how is the battery time when you clocked it ?

a good 1.5 days use never had battery problems with CM7 using the desire z or the zte blade

edit just bumped it up to 1209Mhz still running smoothly willsee how the battery is affected
