[FIXED] trying to install new rom - error: you need to install a custom firmware before you can install a new firmware

Yesterday, I opened a topic for the problem of installing a recovery in recovery manager, this went well after soms tries

I now open a new topic, for my next failure:

now, the step: Choose Install Firmware - Not the firmware update, doesn't go very well

it says: "error, you need to install a custom firmware before you can install a new firmware!"

apparently, the currently installed firmware is de-Oranganated vr5

anyone can help me?

thank you!

ok, now i've tried to get into recovery manually

his doesn't go either

I press the down button and then push the on button

The green android man stays on my screen, nothing happens

Do i have to wipe things or delete some files in advance?

Any suggestions

The guide looked so easily, i feel like i'm very stupid :D

I believe that the Recovery you put on the device was damaged.

Did you do the MD5 and check it matched?

Can you try re-downloading and re-installing Clockwork.img onto the Recovery of the phone.

Are you able to boot and get into Android OS?

it worked!

i re-downloaded the image

the other tries, the program said something like "unrecognised image installed"

when i installed the new image, it said its name

i thought i checked the md5, seems not

so, if the image is wrong you don't get into recovery?

thanks a lot guys!

FYI: I installed Japanese Jellyfish, works great for now!

I choose this one, because it looked stable...
