Guest Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) Yesterday, I opened a topic for the problem of installing a recovery in recovery manager, this went well after soms tries I now open a new topic, for my next failure: now, the step: Choose Install Firmware - Not the firmware update, doesn't go very well it says: "error, you need to install a custom firmware before you can install a new firmware!" apparently, the currently installed firmware is de-Oranganated vr5 anyone can help me? thank you! Guest Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 ok, now i've tried to get into recovery manually his doesn't go either I press the down button and then push the on button The green android man stays on my screen, nothing happens Do i have to wipe things or delete some files in advance? Any suggestions The guide looked so easily, i feel like i'm very stupid :D

Any suggestions The guide looked so easily, i feel like i'm very stupid :D I believe that the Recovery you put on the device was damaged. Did you do the MD5 and check it matched? Can you try re-downloading and re-installing Clockwork.img onto the Recovery of the phone. Are you able to boot and get into Android OS?
Guest Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 it worked! i re-downloaded the image the other tries, the program said something like "unrecognised image installed" when i installed the new image, it said its name i thought i checked the md5, seems not so, if the image is wrong you don't get into recovery? thanks a lot guys! FYI: I installed Japanese Jellyfish, works great for now! I choose this one, because it looked stable...
