Resume from standby issue S120

Recommended Posts

As the desc. explains, my Liquid Metal will occasionally refuse to resume from standby (locked screen.)

It only does this after a few hours of inactivity, or sometimes immediately. I have to remove the battery to reset the phone. Suggestions?

If the problem is as same as Liquid/E, then look under the reflection of bright light.

On Liquid/E it shows that the phone woke up, but the screen isn't lit

I hard reset the phone to see if it would solve the issue. So far, its not done it. But i will try your suggestion if it does...

Hard reset, did it after 25 hours of uptime. Tried shining a light in it, screens not on either. Phone IS on, as i can see status lights at top of phone. Help?

Screen doesn't turn on when waking up/pressing power button, but soft keys do light up... Only solution till now: Remove battery and restart.

Using Acer_LiquidMetal_1.100.16_EMEA-GEN1_01.16.01 bin.

Thats interesting. My soft keys DO NOT light up... I'll be calling Acer support when i can use a working phone.

How long is it between this happening? Minutes, hours?

Did you already update your phone with the latest firmware avalaible on Acer website ?

I did. Same issue. I didnt do it from the website but from the OTA Software updater. Still does it.

So you are using the same firmware as I am? No custom ROM I suppose...

Posted

Correct. Latest, totally legit, original acer-provided ROM. No mods, nothing. The phone is only 5 days old, i've not had time to modify it! Really, really pissed off at this.

Nobody else got this problem? Any solution yet DecipherXX?

I phoned ACER Customer support. They essentially explained they had no idea what the issue was, and i've to send my phone to my local repair centre (Scotland) to fix the issue. I was also told that if it was discovered to be a software issue, i will be charged £75.

We'll see about that.
