Theft Aware not working with CM7

I'm using CM7 Nightly and tried installing Theft Aware 2 from the Market, but when the App runs the initial setup phase, I'm getting the error "Could not connect to the internet". I've tried using both 3g and wifi, but neither help resolve the issue.

Anyone else experiencing this problem and would anyway know how to fix it?

Have you had the App running before on another ROM? As I couldn't get it working on 2.2 either.

Yeh it worked fine on both FLB and Jellyfish 2.2 ROMs

The reason I like Theft Aware is because it's all hidden, which is not the case with 'Where's my droid'

This is one application I would really want running on CM7 when it is ready for general use.

Is it worth someone running CM7 contacting the author of TheftAware and seeing what logs he needs to see if he can fix the problem?

Assuming it is a TheftAware and not CM problem. I think the author of TheftAware has posted once on these forums so a private message might do the trick otherwise there are the TheftAware forums and there must be an email address in the market details / website?
