Hey,

Installed CyanogenMod 7 On a TFT and A OLED SF and i've found a problem, on out going calls the screen dims and is fine and then you can hang up fine,,, but on incoming calls you answer, screen goes black and you cant get it back on again without restarting phone.

Any Fix's / Posts On This?

Thanks

Jamie

EDIT: Also On OLED SF it seems to show the lock screen rotary in the background

EDIT2: Now Tried Calling Again And Both SF'S Are stuck in Blank Screen call mode ¬¬ - Battery Out

yes it's the principal reason i don't install CM7

i think minimum for a phone is to receive and send voice calls properly

i can live with other bugs but not with this one

People need to remember CM7 is NOT a stable release rom yet, it's RC1 which means its for testing and evaluation and to find bugs with it.

Most seem to think it's a stable finished rom but it is not. It's only the 1st release

to put that in perspective

Modaco 2.2 is now on r12

FLB is r9b

yet CM7 is 2.3 RC1

Also it's a miracle it's got this far so quick.

2.3 has only just recently been released and is only installed by the manufacturers on 2 or 3 phones at the moment

should be called CM7 alpha 1 not Release Candidate 1

Release Candidate =

A version of a program that is nearly ready for release but may still have a few bugs; the status between beta version and release version

The RC1 is a global tag for CyanogenMod itself, not specifically for the port. This is CyanogenMod7-RC1, ported to the blade. Not CyanogenMod 7 Blade Port RC1.

Furthermore, this bug doesn't actually stop you receiving calls. For me, it's as simple as asking the other side to hang up first. As far as bugs go, this is a long way from the worst one in the published build, and it should be noted that any bugs that are found should be forwarded to the official CyanogenMod Issue Tracker that was linked earlier in this thread.

Try using your answerphone... :D

Or use a service such as Hullomail (which is free for the recipient)?

As I said, this is a long way from a showstopper, even if it is a bit inconvenient.

Well everyone has their own ideas of what makes a serious bug. For me it is the most serious of the bugs. And it is the highest tracked issue on the bugtracker so I don't think I'm alone... :D

some people use their phones seriously for their work

i don't want to miss a call because rom is bugged

i don't care not to have the latest rom

i use fibblesan r8a i can receive and send calls at 100% without beginning to make tweaks or patching

when this problem would be solved i'll install CM7 but not before

(i don't care about camera or autofocus or maps not working i want to receive calls normally without rebooting or shaking my phone)

The simple answer is - if you don't like it - don't use it

it's as simple as that - nobody is making anyone use it.

If you don't like it and don't use it them don't moan about it till its at a stage you actually use and them moan about something that is meant to be working but isnt and do it in the right place - as a report in the bugtracker - that way it will get noticed by the people who actually write the rom, investigated and a fix developed.

No point in moaning here, do it on the CM forums

WOW, Phoenix silver pissed me off so much that I created an account just to post this: PHOENIX SILVER, as 'hardcore' status that you are, you sir are a complete ass. I hate people like you who bitch at other's hard work and do not contribute. You sir, are a drain on society. Go die in a fire.

You have your opinion on naming convention, however, while using a developer product, who specifically describes THEIR naming convention, you have a problem because it does not meet your expectation. Perhaps it is *YOUR* expectations that is flawed. Again, GDIAF.

Woah. Calm down bro. He was just making his point. If he doesn't want to use it because of some bug that affect him, then good for him. You don't have to rage at him. MoDaCo is meant to be a friendly forum, not one to rant at people.

mmmkay?
