So if I understand correctly I can only install ROM base on 2.2 like?

Cyanogenmod 6.1.1 V3

CDTeam FroYoMetal V3.1

no you can install any ROM if you already have 2.2

some say you have to flash one of the latest 2.2 Acer ROMs so you don't have any bugs with the custom ROM you will flash on it

you need to follow these steps:

1. follow the steps here : http://android.modac...ost__p__1608911

2. then follow the steps here about how to flash a .BIN file : http://android.modac...ost__p__1608913

3. install malez recovery again

4. make a nandroid backup in malez recovery

5. wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache in malez recovery

6. flash the custom ROM file that you put on your SD card

7. reboot

and if you want to flash any other custom ROM next time then just start from step 4

and for best performance + battery life i suggest LiquidNext Mix Cyanogenmod 7.1 V1.1

you can get it from here : http://android.modac...next-mix-cm-72/

Sorry for n00b question. I got a liquid a1 phone. the first and last flash of custom i did was from 2.1 to 2.2.

Now i want to upgrade to LiquidMix. Its a 2.3 right?

So do i need to flash 2.3 bin files first? (i do believe that was the process before?) before flashing the custom rom?

or just flash the 2.2 bin files?

thank you

make sure you have enough free space on your computer in the partition you have Acer download tool in

like if your tool is in "D:\ADT\" then make sure that drive D:\ has at least 1GB free space

try downloading the .bin file again. and re-install the drivers

I've unrooted it and have done everything again but I still get the same as what I got before.

Really confusing.

Hi, I have an Acer Liquid S100 (rooted, 2.2, custom ICS Rom). How can I revert from my custom rom CM9 to official 2.1 Eclair? Just download official zip and update through official Acer Update Tool or is there something to pay attention for?

Hi Guys,

as you can see on my postcount I'm new here and in the Smartphone as well as Android world. I purchased a slightly used, only couple of months old Acer Liquid E (or S100) with CM9. The first week everything worked fine. Yesterday the phone turned itself off, and the only way to turn it on again is to remove the battery shortly. This happens after a couple of minutes of inactivety.

Does anybody know a trick? As I written above everything is new to me, so a dummy approach would probably be the right thing.

Thanks, banjo

1- Upgrading your device to 2.1/2.2

First of all,we have to make a comparison between Liquid A1 and Liquid E/S100.

Liquid E have only one major difference in relation with A1,that is the RAM amount. While the A1 has 256 MB , Liquid E has 512 MB of RAM.

If you are a A1 possessor, then there's no Official Froyo 2.2 for you. However,2.2 for Liquid E has been modified to fit Liquid's system,so,no problem for you.

First of all,if you want to update your device to 2.2,follow these brief steps:

1-

a)If you are Liquid E user,download this--> DOWNLOAD 4.002.14

b)If you are Liquid A1 user,download this--> DOWNLOAD 4.002.14 for A1

2- Once download is completed, you just have to follow the steps described at point 4.1

This is the best thread I had ever seen it contains many topics at one. I like this because people can easily get all information about their all problems here. Your information is very useful for me and all readers of this forum. Thanks for sharing here.
