Phone making strange calls behind my back

The last few days my San Fran has developed an incredibly annoying problem of making strange calls to people almost behind my back if you like. It happens as soon as I end a normal call.

Basically as soon as I put the phone down on the person I'm speaking to my phone, without me asking it to, starts to ring someone else. I try to end the call but the dialer is all of a sudden not there either. I have to result to ending the call by switching the phone off and probably looking like an idiot to whoever I've accidentally called at the other end of the line!

I just can't figure out what's causing this problem or how to fix it, other than trying another ROM. I'm on JJ9 currently.

I get that with the chocolate biscuits aswell - i only eat 3 or 4 in one go and the next day when i return they've all disappeared...... or so i tell the wife :D

Mine has occasionally done this but I thought it was because I had put it down too heavily or touched something on the screen without realising. I now always go to home screen when I finish a call, before I put the phone down and I haven't had the problem any more.

Yeah, maybe fiddle with the settings in spare parts (end button behaviour). Change what happens when you press the end button, see if that helps.

you can also try the app Call Confirm by 7bit:

"No more accidental calls. Raises up a confirm dialog on any calls."

Have you installed any dodgy apps? It's possible, if you grant them permission, for an app to be able to make a phone call without going through the dialler:

For instance, there is an app called Wozzon which I was going to install until I saw what permissions it required. I'm not saying it was malicious, but I wasn't going to let an app have that possibility.
