Wifi2HiFi have just released a neat looking app for the iPad : WiFi2HiFi Link.

I asked them if they had any plans to release it for Android and they said that if enough interest was shown they would consider releasing one, so if you'd like it contact them to let them know!

Personally, I cannot see the benefit of this app. Do you just want to use your Vega to facilitate streaming audio from your PC to an amplifier? There must be better ways to achieve this.

Coincidentally, this week I have decided to do the reverse (sort of). I just bought one of these:

It is a cheap Bluetooth receiver which I plan on hooking up to my amp via phono connectors so I can stream music to it via the Vega or my phone (as opposed to what it was designed to do, stream BT audio to headphones). In theory, you could use something like this yourself if your PC/laptop has Bluetooth instead of using the above app and 'wasting' your Vega on this task. You can just buy any cheap Bluetooth dongle that supports A2DP for a fiver or so if you do not have BT already.

Although I haven't received it yet (hopefully tomorrow), I decided to buy this one as many of the alternatives use the same port for headphones and charging, which means you can't keep it charged whilst using it! This one can be charged via USB which is handy as my PC is next to my amp so no need to waste another socket to keep it charged, I can effectively leave it always on and ready for me to stream music from any device simply by switching inputs on my amp :huh:
