Guest jdouce Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 I'm using my wifi tethering together with battery charging from the wall. However the power is being depleted faster than it seams to be charging. Only the wifi tether and juice defender pro are running with autokiller on optimum, NB the screen is off. Any ideas? it wasn't all ways like this.

Guest Thmz159 Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Do you use overclock kernel or compcache? That can drain the battery. You can also try to underclock your device so it saves power.

Guest jdouce Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Now sorted. I had a rogue widget (either ebay or okcupid). Charges fine now.

Guest beghiero Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) I had a similar (but different) problem using tethering. The battery refused to charge for too high temperature (battery icon with exclamation mark), but the (maybe not too) high temperature was caused by the contemporary use of WiFi and UMTS trasmissions, so not solved by the interruption of the charge process.. The result is that the Liquid descharged totally and switched off without any chance for me... Happily I had my old phone with me and I was able to continue my internet access moving my sim card to the other phone... Ciao, Piero. Edited February 23, 2011 by beghiero
