Please note that selling items on the forum directly is not allowed by the forum rules.

There is a forum for eBay auctions whereby you can list the items on eBay and link to them there. This is the ONLY forum for this type of activity. You may also advertise links to the eBay forum in your signature.

Please note that selling directly in contravention of these rules will result in a warning / suspensions / ban.

If you want to sell it - put it on ebay with a link on here in the ebay part of the forum

Hi,

just letting you know - don't contact the guy with nick Konstantin17 who was selling the damaged Blade here:

http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...fransico-phone/

Sent him 25GBP and looks like I lost it. Going for dispute in PayPal, wondering if anything comes out of that.

My mistake, knew it's kind of risky, but took the chance...best to delete that thread above at all so there are no other "lucky" guys as me...

BTW his name on PayPal is (mod deleted) and email is:(mod deleted)

WHAT does the 2nd post in that thread say?

You ignored it and now look what happened.

btw it's unlikely Paypal will do a thing if it wasn't on ebay.

On topic again how do you know you've "lost it"?

He only made the thread 2 days ago and your saying because you didn't get something that "may be in another country" to you within 24 hours of you sending money he's not sent or sending it?"?

Even if he was definitely in the same country I know how bad the post is in the UK and unless it's sent by courier I never worry until at least a week has passed.

4 days anyway.

I would suggest you give more details such as where your located and where he is located and WHY you think you've lost your money?

I also suggest you practise the thing called patience - It took 6 weeks to get a small package from the UK to the US even posting it priority delivery that "should have" taken 4 days.

Paying for an item and expecting it within 24 hours of being paid is very unrealistic

Hi,

The guy was replying until I sent the money within 5 minutes. After that sending private messages in modaco.com is not possible anymore as he blocked all the messages sent to him. No answer on the private mail, neither through PayPal. Funny all the effort is worth for him for 25GBP…I mean creating an account, pretending you are a real user for a few weeks, making up a story of the damaged phone which he wants to sell.

The suspicious part of the communication was that he accepted lowering the price from 30 to 25 and even included the shipping cost into the final price himself (shipping to EU which would cost him another 6-8 pounds), but as I said, I took the chance. Not blaming anyone…

What does the top announcement on every forum here say? Isn't it something like 'Reminder: Selling items on the forum directly is not allowed'?

Does that announcement say anything about safety of a transaction?

Seeing as how you didn't bother taking the time to read what I said and were insistant about the selling bit I reopened this thread

I also merged the 2 threads about this

JUST SO YOU can read the 2nd post.

I suggest you read it -

You ignored it end of.

Unless you want the punishment for breaking that rule applied to buyers as well as sellers?

For anyone else reading this Please note SELLING IN THE FORUM IS NOT ALLOWED UNLESS you sell it on ebay or somewhere privately and put a link to the item in the ebay section of the forum here http://android.modaco.com/category/168/ebay-auctions/

Also if you do sell on ebay or elsewhere you do it with the same risks as anyone else selling anything anywhere

The owner of the forum is not liable for anything you sell and

posts slandering or "dissing" another member will not be allowed for any reason. (unless prior approval by Paul or awarner is given)

The forum is meant to be a friendly place lets try and keep it that way please

Does that announcement say anything about safety of a transaction?

You can safely assume that any similar transaction is unsafe, because it is forbidden here. If the guy wasn't trying to rob people he could just list it on ebay, or some other website where people buy & sell things, rather than a discussion forum.
