Guest aequalszero Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) Here's an odd one for you all: there's a small pocket in my day-to-day messenger bag that's perfect for storing my Blade. The problem is, the pocket seals with one of those button magnets. My knowledge of magnet strengths and their relative effect on technology extends only as far as: it's probably not the best. So I realise that this is not an ideal situation, but am I actually putting my phone in danger by storing it here? Edited February 22, 2011 by aequalszero
Guest wbaw Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 it should be fine if it's just a weak magnet. magnets aren't good for hard disks, floppy disks or crt monitors, but your phone doesn't have any of those. maybe some sensors could be affected by a strong magnet, i don't think a weak magnetic clasp near it will harm it.
Guest womble_sanfran Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Most phone flip cases use magnets, if it were a problem I am sure someone would have shouted by now!
Guest aequalszero Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Both excellent points. Thanks for clearing that up!
