Guest TylerDurdenK Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 I have put my Sky accoutn details into the Gmail app, and it works with no problems at all. Which email app are you using, or are you simply going on to your MySky page?
Guest PeteGraham Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 I have put my Sky accoutn details into the Gmail app, and it works with no problems at all. Which email app are you using, or are you simply going on to your MySky page? There's also the server names you are using. If you are using the email app, and not using the server as imap.tools.sky.com or pop(3).tools.sky.com and smtp.tools.sky.com it may not work. They changed the cert to only use the addition of "TOOLS" in the server names. On another note, depending on the mail app being used, you might want to set the security type to SSL (accept all certificates). That could sort it.

I will check later and get back to you As both incoming and outgoing require SSL, it will automatically change the port numbers to the correct ones for you. 465 (outgoing SMTP) and 993 (incoming IMAP) ring a bell for me, but depends of course on whether you're using IMAP or POP3 protocols.
