good file converters (for FLV to avi)

Anyone know of any good flv converters as rockplayer plays any flv's so slow its crazy and unwatchable, sounds way off sync.

If youre downloading video offv youtube, install the Video DownloadHelper for firefox

and use the icon thingy just above the video, not the one on the toolbar, it downloads as mp4, and the standard video player plays em ok.

I have used keepvid.com to download the youtube videos. I save as Mp4. These work frine with the stock video player.

However that may not be what you need.

So for video coverter. The best on the market I found was http://www.avsmedia.com/avs-video-converter.aspx

Have used many times to convert avi/dixx files that stuttered on rockplayer. They play smoothly as mp4 files. The application even has android as an option for file conversion.
