didn't like any of the 2.2 roms much...

anyone else in the same boat? ended up putting sebs de-orangeated 2.1 on and am very happy with that all-round. no doubt the devs have done an awesome job bringing the 2.2 roms up to speed and making them fully presentable. one of the main things i found was wi-fi lacking both stability and initialisation speed on all the 2.2 roms i tested (flb, jj, mcr) compared to the basic 2.1. couple of other things like no contacts button in the messaging app and the co-pilot app i'm using not working also put me off the 2.2 roms.

having said that, i'll probably try again when some are further developed and if/when some really solid retail 2.2 roms crop up. no doubt 2.2 has more efficient coding and support for such great applications as chrome-2-phone. i also found battery utilisation to be more efficient on 2.2 and when using wifi. here's hoping than CM7 2.3 is really polished up and stable in the next few months. that would really be something for us blade owners!

I had the same problems regarding wifi on all of the 2.2 roms I tried, with the exception of the latest MCR version which seems rock solid so I`ve stayed with that one.

Off that boat

I tried flb, jj and mcr.

Flb had 2 issues that annoyed me a bit

- Sometimes the phone would never went to sleep (it remained with min. light)

- Sometimes root permissions were not given to the requester applications (don't have 100% if this was a problem with the requester of rom)

But nothing special, the rom was very light and fast, I used it for 5 days, without any major problem.

I tried jj because everyone was speaking well about it, well I only used it for half a day, it was slower than the flb so I was going to revert to flb, but I deleted the zip file, so I went to the mcr and that's what I'm using now, it might have other issues, but I still didn't found them.

BTW, I also have CoPilot Live 8 and it's working great in flb and mcr!!!

On the flip side, I find 2.1's wifi terrible and 2.2 much better lol.

sure, it is on version r9 and can be found in this thread http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...clair-oled-tft/

thanks for the replies everyone, seems there is some variance in people's experience with wi-fi over 2.1 and different 2.2 roms. i can say with certainty that it comes on much faster with the stock/sebs 2.1 rom. also, my version of co-pilot isn't the latest build if you catch my drift, FLB 2.2 didn't like it.

i am running FLB and find it to be very stable. Once in a while, the wifi takes a little longer to connect when waking up, but it does connect automatically. battery life is great.

I'm on JJ and noticed no issues with Wifi other than the occasional "retry or cancel" box when connecting to the market.

I've found Bluetooth audio to be far superior.

Most people found JJ's wifi the best out of the 2.1 and 2.2 ROMs. CM7 has fixed the wifi disconnect for me.
