I don't think it supports NTFS still (although this might have been overcome now it certainly used to be the case) so you won't see it if it's NTFS and where are you looking for it, I get an additional icon in iFileManager once I'm at the right software level with a FAT32 16gb usb stick. Guest worto03 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Hi Thanks for that, im running the 1.09 firmware with the addon pack to allow market and superuser etc, Im waiting on my 32gb microsd before i flash firmware etc, but will give this a look ah OK - you should be able to do it using the 1st thread I pointed to - I've used that fine on mine before I went for the r8 custom rom, but on my mates vega it never asked for superuser permissions and so just locked up instead of changing mode - once I reflashed his with the custom rom as well it worked 1st time. Out of curiosity which 32gb card have you gone for - I've got a 16gb card at the mo which I can either fit my music or my photos on - would be nice to stick it all on one card if the price is right.

I've only tried any of this on 1.0.8, I've not tried 1.9 at all yet.

Extract the files, try and get the phone into recovery connect the usb cable, update the usb drivers with the ones in the firmware package and then run the bat file? Guest worto03 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) What should I try flashing it with first as its on 1.09 atm? Thats upto you really - I've stuck with 1.0.8 but for no particular reason other than I knew it worked and 1.09 had only been out a few hours when I was doing it. there is a link to 1.0.8 here if you do want it. Then I followed Pauls instructions on the 1st post of the MoDaCo Custom ROM r8 thread. Someone else may pipe up with a better idea but mine works like a dream after reflashing to 1.0.8 and then installing Pauls r8. I've not seen anyone here not be able to recover it eventually and there are people on here messing much more than me so at least you can feel pretty safe trying it knowing you should be able to reflash it again to whatever you want if it goes wrong somewhere along the line. edit - follow the full software update guide on myadventvega.co.uk if you want to reflash it to 1.0.8 or 1.09 first then followed the To install this ROM (without using ClockworkMod recovery): section of Pauls 1st post in the r8 thread. The tricky bit tends to be the drivers bit - oh and I think you need to have the power connected to the vega throughout the process. Edited February 25, 2011 by worto03
