Guest Dante2070 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 A while ago I deleted the bootanimation from Tom G's Cyanogenmod 6. I was expecting to see then the actuall boot up (like you see when starting windows), but instead I was greeted with another (way lamer) boot animation. Is it possible to tweak the pulse to show the actual boot process?
Guest D-D- Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Just delete the /system/media/boot(something) zip file... In some roms u'll get the ANDROID screen (animated) In some white or black (or both) screen.
Guest Dante2070 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Yeah I did that and I got the animated ANDROID screen. So you think there is no way of getting to see the actuall process during the boot up? No way to lift the curtain?
Guest D-D- Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Hah... U would like to boot like the linux without the animation? (or like the app that boots android on winmo device?) I don't know if it is possible, but I think there is some bootanimation that can "simulate" that (if that's how u would like ur phone to look like booting up).

Seems to me it would be faster and actually look way cooler. Would be great if someone knew a way, I wouldn't like to simulate it.
Guest eckengucker1 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 disable it in the build.prop
Guest Dante2070 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 I'll try it out, thanks for the tip
