I agree, last of its type from htc for a while what with the flyer coming.

Well it's not actually an easy decision. Both phones have its positive and negatives. The one big thing the sgs has is the fantastic screen and great battery life, the hd has awful battery life.

If it was you try to test both devices before making a decision.

Just a personal point of view, but I think HTC's SenseUI is better than Touchwiz on the Samsung - equally, from general reading I would have said HTC were better with their updates to the OS. Although to be fair, we have a couple of Desires and a Desire HD in the house!

I think Sense looks nice. But I recently dumped the Stock Rom on my Desire and upgraded to a sense free gingerbread ROM. And for my money it is a massive improvement. With LauncherPro and Beautiful widgets I have an experience that looks quite like sense but is loads quicker, more customizable and uses loads less battery.

I may well but another HTC phone next time I upgrade but I am pretty certain that high up on my order of business will be to strip the Sense out and get a vanilla 'droid build on that I can customise as I see fit!

I am on my third android HTC now and have not used sense in a long long time (except for the little time it takes to root and flash a new rom)
