Guest aidanj Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 hello, a friend of mine purchased the orange san francisco a few days ago, and is having an issue with the phone/contacts app. she put her sim card from her previous phone, and has tried importing her contacts from her sim card, to no avail. she's running the stock orange 2.1 rom. i think she said that the contacts' numbers display when sending/recieving messages, but not in her phone book. she's tried messing around with display options - only show contacts with phones, etc. could anyone on her possibly be of any assistance? i can provide further information if necessary. thanks
Guest ThrashMan Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Has your friend signed into her Google account? My SF has also refused to show contacts until it can sync them with Google.

Guest Andy_T Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 I had to use the Import/Export menu option and that imported my SIM contacts into the phones contacts. I would have preferred to keep them separate as I store on the SIM the contacts that are specific to that SIM's network - the short codes etc.
Guest becksy Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Mine's an Orange Barcelona, same problem. When I first put in my old sim, all contacts were there. Then subsequently they vanished. Try this-----power off, remove battery, sim card, then replace sim card, battery. Power on (don't be connected to internet) and immediately go to contacts/menu and import, copy, whatever. Worked for me.. Hope it does for you. :) Becksy
