Oki guys a hard question hehe

I have a nokia headset

When i long press central button blade open the default music player and i can control my music collection directly from the 4 buttons of the headset (next previous track , soun up sound down ....

works fine

But i would want to try to make this working with another music player like poweramp.

I would want to change the default app launched by the nokia button.

Thanks.

Go into settings, applications, manage applications, and click on the default android music player.

Scroll down to where it says "launch by default" - Hopefully it will have been set as the default player, and you can press the highlighted button "clear defaults".

If that goes to plan when you now long press the button on the headset, the android pop up window will open (similar to when you have multiple launchers installed but no default set), with a list of music/media players? and then you can select poweramp as the default music player.

If this does work, I cant test it as I uninstalled the default music player and only use poweramp, then I know the latest version of poweramp already has features built in to skip tracks back and forth ect by either pressing or double/triple pressing buttons on the headset.

Have you got a link for the Nokia headset you are using PS? I'd like to be able to have these functions.
