Auto rotating dialler?

Hi all,

you will all have noticed that the dialler - when opened, only opens in landscape,

rotating the tablet does nothing to give you portrait mode to tap out the numbers etc.

So .. my question - could someone do some 'hackery' of the default dialler to make this happen,

or will the dialler from another froyo build work!

What I have tried so far: refreshing the auto-rotate settings for the device, and for specific launchers (launcher pro, zeam) - no change!

dropping in the dialler from a froyo build for the Desire - crashed all over the place, oops, thank God for nandroid!

I don't like the integration of 3rd party diallers from the market!!
