Guest Nuuna Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Yeah it gets bit laggy when playing it?
Guest targetbsp Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 CM7 is the fastest at Angry Birds by a long way.
Guest Meizirkki Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 CM7 is the fastest at Angry Birds by a long way. Truth ^
Guest IronDoc Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 CM7 is awesome at AB, the move to SD bug notwithstanding.
Guest m4dm3n Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 True, definately CM7 - even games like Heavy Gunner which was almost non-playable on other ROMs - nice and smooth now. regards
Guest That-Guy Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Now I have read this I am going to backup and switch to CM7  Been waiting for a good enough reason lol
Guest aequalszero Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Really? It's that significant an improvement? So maybe someone can educate a relative newbie: what is it about 2.3 (or CM7 specifically) that makes this possible?

I'm curious to know how much of the improvements are due to 2.3, and how much are down to CM7 itself, too. The difference IS significant and goes far beyond Angry Birds. More importantly, to me, browsing is also much faster. XScope 6 runs incredibly well on CM7. The video/audio sync issues with Beebplayer/Myplayer/Rockplayer etc are solved in CM7 too. The improvement's are enough that it's finally got me thinking about moving off my (much tweaked) stock 2.1 Orange firmware, even with all the current bugs and poor battery life in CM7.

Why's it make angry birds (and other games) run better? Or does it do some other stuff too?

It is good, very good, I can watch HD videos with vPlayer with HW codecs without lags  CM7is the definitely best ROM for Angry Birds, I haven't noticed lag even at very complex levels.

My bad, I should more carefully read the post being quoted more carefully!
Guest Nuuna Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Thanks for fast replies  Which one i should download from CM sites RC or Full 8 ?
Guest JimJam707 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Thanks for fast replies  Which one i should download from CM sites RC or Full 8 ? Full 8 is a nightly build meaning it's the latest version out now so some bugs will be fixed over RC1. I'm using Nightly 8 now and can recommend it :)
