Problem with sending Text using San Francisco

I have a problem with my San Francisco and I am sure that maybe it is something very simple but I haven't been able to cure it.

Can someone help me please?

I can receive and send text to the UK with no problem. (I am UK based) and I can also receive text from Egypt but for some reason I cannot send text to Egypt.

All that happens is I get 'message not sent' and a red exclamation mark on top of the envelope.

Bearing in mind that I am an absolute beginner with this phone and probably a baby knows more that I do, can anyone point me in the right direction on how to cure this problem please?
