Greetings to all from cold north land called Finland. I have this Zte Blade and I wanted update it to 2.2 Well, I tried it on my own and something went terribly wrong.

Istructions to this method what I used was on this site... Well, here's the story how everything happend:

First, I downloaded the apps and everything needed. Maybe I didn't look so carefully what version to use, so I just took the newest one. Well, I succesfully installed the clockwork and it was running well. Then I tried to take one of those 2.2-releases and install it. I choosed install and it was installing. But then...

After a half an hour of waiting, nothing happend. The startup screen (which was the google nexus-logo) just keep moving over and over again. I made the terrible decision: take the battery out. I tried to restart my phone, but it just keep flashing that same startup-screen.. Then I tried to go to the clockwork-menu by pressing the Vol - down, but then. Clockwork menu is normally a bit orange, but now every color turned to green and the whole screen flipped upside down. Yea, I was very terrified and tried to put the earlier version of my 2.1 back to SD-card and instal it. It worked... Now I have my earlier version back and everything is running well. But I can still see, that there's something wrong. When I press the Vol - button down and turn on my phone, the colors turn to green and the screen rotates 180 degrees. So the Clockwork is screwd up or what??

Is there any chanse to fix this situation anymore and still bee 100% sure, that I will not broke my phone anymore.

p.s. Mainly this is because the offical 2.2 is coming from ZTE to here, Finland at April

p.s.s Sorry for the grammar errors of my languake

Old Clockworkmods were upside down and green so maybe you just have old one? When you go to clockwork what does it show to your version number? (ClocworkMod Recovery vx.x.x.x)

Just try to wipe everything and install that FLB again. (FLB has that nexus boot animation right?)

My version is green and an upside down screen too, just wipe and install again and should be fine

It sounds like you're using either clockwork 2.5.0.9 or 2.5.1.3. If so, there's nothing to worry about! Just go into clockwork as normal, go to mounts and storage, and select mount USB storage. If your clockwork is plugged into your PC when you do this, the SD card will come up as normal :) Then, just copy the file from here:

http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...blade-oled-tft/

called recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.6-blade-update_signed.zip, and it'll update your clockwork to the orange one :P then, restart the phone and go into clockwork, and mount the usb storage again, as I said above. Copy the rom across you want.

Now, here's where you went wrong before. You didn't wipe the cache and do a factory reset. Just do both of those, you'll see them in the main menu, then install the rom as normal. It'll work fine. :D

By the way, for your information, I too got Clockwork 2.5.1.3 installed on my week-old Blade and nothing is upside-down. Maybe newer batches have the screen fitted correctly...

Maiby it was that "not to whipe everything" what made it go wrong. I think I have the latest clockwork, which was orange before that fail. And it weren't upside down... I don't know do I have enough courage to try again, but if I do this:

Do you think it will work? I think I have the latest one, which is this: 3.0.0.5 or should I get some older one? What about the installing. Can I just go ahead and install it over the earlier one or do I have to do something special?

p.s. And yes, our operator (where I bought this) said, that the offical Finnish 2.2 version is coming on April.. He didn't know the exact date, but it is coming.... And yea, so should I just wait for that instead of trying to do it on my own?

Oh, and one more thing... Is there any way to delete that clockwork completly, so that event the operator cannot se that I was using that if I take this phone to our customer servise to be updated

just do exactly as I've said above and it'll work.

There is a link somewhere on here for the stock rom from your device. Make sure you get the TPT version, which will wipe clockwork and leave the phone exactly as when you bought it.
