Guest That-Guy Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 OK will start by telling you what I did...... 1) Backed up Current ROM in ROM Manager. 2) Downloaded and Installed CM7 via ROM Manager (wiping data/cache). 3) Had a play with CM7 (wanted to be nosey). 4) Restored the backup of my previous ROM using ROM Manager. When I restarted I got loads of Force Closes from all the apps starting up, what have I done wrong? I also tried rebooting into Clockwork myself and wiping data / cache, then restoring the backup but still have the same problem. Also Fixing Permissions does not help  Any help on this would be great.
Guest IronDoc Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 What was your previous ROM? Did you have a theme? What clockwork did you use to backup and what one to restore?

My Previous ROM was Seb's r0.3: Froyo 2.2 de-softened ROM, use the Gingerbread Theme and used Clockwork 3.0.0.6 for both backup and restore

Themes have caused restores to fail before. Edited February 27, 2011 by IronDoc
Guest That-Guy Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Well that didn't work either, not sure what went wrong. Took the opportunity to upgrade to the latest CyanogenMod 7  Thanks Anyway!
Guest wonderfibre Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I had the same problem yesterday. Upgrading from Swedish Spring 3 to 4b. I did a nandroid backup, reset & flashed 4b, restored Data and Cache from backup then got persistent force closes. Reflashed backup to undo all changes but the force closes persisted. I ended up doing a fresh install of 4b then restore all apps with Titanium
