Guest moxon Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 hi can not find a clear instruction to use to put FLB-Froyo G2 over Build OUK_P729BV1.0.0B10 any help please many thanks
Guest Christo0908 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Personally, I recommend using the ROM Manager, which is now supported on Blade, I think this method only works if your phone is rooted, so search these forums for the latest version of ClockworkMod Recovery and follow the instructions to install that. Without ROM Manager: Then once installed, copy everything you need for the custom ROM (FLB FroYo ROM and latest gapps) onto the ROOT of your SD Card not in any folders etc. and back up any information you want to keep, Titanium Backup if you want to backup Apps and the App data. Boot the phone into recovery and choose to wipe data, then the option directly underneath to wipe cache. Choose 'install zip from sdcard' and choose zip file (2nd option down) and locate the FLB ROM zip file and install it then repeat this process for gapps zip file (install from sd card and locate the zip file). Reboot your phone and you should be in FLB Froyo ROM. I am not responsible for bricking your phone SHOULD THIS NOT WORK, this is the method I used when I tried installing FLB FroYo ROM and it worked fine for me. If you already have root access and you would like to do it through ROM Manager I would be happy to provide the instructions I used to successfully boot this way. If the Mods get to this before you have the chance to try this solution, then I recommend PMing Flibblesan himself for any advice. Hope this information helps you.

Sorry but with the new firmware below does not work. " If you Boot up the device while holding down the VOLUME DOWN button, the phone boots into the recovery system"

Have to agree. I followed this step by step and it worked first time. I have been trying the "power + volume up" only for it to go to the "Orange" screen for ages. I can't thank "moxon" enough for the link. I am now "Orange" free Edited March 18, 2011 by harbottle
