Guest g-rasshopper Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 I've noticed that my phone only rotates the screen if I hold it at zero degrees (i.e. with the San Francisco writing at the top) or 90 degrees anticlockwise. If I turn the phone 90 degrees clockwise, the screen doesn't automatically rotate to compensate. Can someone confirm whether this is normal behaviour for the San Francisco? Other phones I have tried automatically rotate the screen if you turn the phone 0, 90 180, and 270 degrees. Thanks for your help.
Guest vermat17 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 On some apps it will only work at 90 degrees anticlockwise. On others, such as Youtube, it will work all ways except 180 degrees.

I'm wondering whether a ROM upgrade might fix this issue. Are you using the stock ROM?
Guest That-Guy Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Yeah as far as I know it depends on the app and possibly ROM. Is is something you really need it to do?

Try using a few different roms to see if the problem persists. If not, you may have a problem with your accelerometer.
