Question about screen autorotation

I've noticed that my phone only rotates the screen if I hold it at zero degrees (i.e. with the San Francisco writing at the top) or 90 degrees anticlockwise. If I turn the phone 90 degrees clockwise, the screen doesn't automatically rotate to compensate.

Can someone confirm whether this is normal behaviour for the San Francisco? Other phones I have tried automatically rotate the screen if you turn the phone 0, 90 180, and 270 degrees.

On some apps it will only work at 90 degrees anticlockwise.

On others, such as Youtube, it will work all ways except 180 degrees.

I'm wondering whether a ROM upgrade might fix this issue. Are you using the stock ROM?

Yeah as far as I know it depends on the app and possibly ROM.

Is is something you really need it to do?

I'm using JapJelly RLS9 and it works fine with me.

Try using a few different roms to see if the problem persists.

If not, you may have a problem with your accelerometer.
