Guest fifty56 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 Hope you can help me, my phone cannot boot - it means the android logo is displayed and that's all  There is a ClockworkMod recovery 2.5.1.8 installed, it works, I can install zip from SD card but after a successfull install still no booting. I've formatted every of my partitions (boot, data, system, cache, ...) my SD card as well. I can install images with fastboot from winXP, but still no success. Any idea?
Guest Eszed Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 What did you do before it borked? Flashing a ROM (which)? Repartitioning? TPT? As the more-experienced guys around here will tell you, if you can boot recovery, then your phone's not dead. Courage!
Guest Gibbo501 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 Have you checked the MD5 of the ROM ZIP?

This is my feeling, recovery works the phone should work  I created an ext2 partition on the SD card with recovery 3, it was the first bad step. I think windows does not recognize that so I cannot remove it, I'll try with my linux desktop. So I think I should repartition my SD card and create on FAT32 partition again.
Guest Eszed Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 That's probably where I'd start. Just for shits and grins, try mounting sd-ext in recovery. Did you get an error? I've had partitions go bad a couple of times, I don't know why. I've never had a problem mounting the SD card from recovery, so I could back up everything on it onto my computer. Then just repartition until it works, and restore all the files.
