adding google apps to advent vega

Hi there, im new to all this tablet malarky lol. I have the adventvega with flash already installed but i was wondering about 2 points. 1 how do you know which software it running on 1.3 or 1.4?? And 2 how do i get google apps on it ?? can anyone help??

install this custom rom and use the android market, jobs a good one.
