Guest henky92 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Hey guys, Last friday I bought the POV tablet and I really love it. I've got MoDaCo rom on it and it works neatly. However I do have one small issue, I can litteraly see the battery percantage drop 2% per minute. I'm not pulling this out of proportion. This means I can only use the device for an hour or so! When the screen is dimmed, the battery doesn't drain at all. Now if I had owned this tablet for a year it would've been fine, but I only purchased it last friday! What's wrong here? Thanks!

Do you have lots going on in the background? Email checking frequency, Facebook, Twitter etc, etc. They will all eat your battery, set them to check less frequently. Also is your screen on max brightness? Have a look and see if any of the above makes a difference because 2% a minute just sound horrid.
Guest Lennyuk Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Things to note, if your not conencted to wifi then turn wifi off (or it will keep looking) Turn brightness down, I keep mine at 16% unless I am in a bright room and need to raise it, you can get widgets in the market which make changing this easy. Check to make sure you have not got lots of apps constantly polling in the background, or widgets constantly updatin (news, weather etc all will update regularly)

No even when I just turned the tablet on, facebook isn't configured, Twitter isn't installed, gmail isn't installed etc etc. Screen brightness is set to 25 %! Guest Bradmax57 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Did you charge it first? When i got mine it was showing 100% charged but only lasted a few hours, i was using it a lot to start with obviously but since then the battery has lasted much longer.

Guest Lennyuk Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Try this, charge till full unplug turn off charge till full again unplug turn on charge till full again and resume normal use.
