Contacts from GMail wont sync to Phone!!

Currently trying to get contacts from my friends googlemail account to sync/upload to her SF.

I've updated the firmware for her to 2.2 FLB v10b. Got everything backed up (including nandroid) but the contacts from her account wont sync to her phone.

I can see the contacts on googlemail if i select 'Contacts' then 'All Contacts' but none are appearing on the phone.

I've also tried both gmail.com & googlemail.com accounts on the phone & this hasnt helped.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Additional: Cant even find the contacts in TitaniumBackup!!! Tried restoring everything beginning with 'Contacts' but no luck!!

I had problems with this too.

It worked once or twice but after this it stopped working so i found a long winded workaround;

In the contacts options is a 'import/export' followed by 'share visible contacts' option

I selected these and then used gmail to send all my contacts from my phone to my contacts on my pc - you have to choose the import option in contacts on the pc and select the file which was sent from your Gmail from your phone

Pain in the ass but i'd like to know an easier 'proper' way of doing it too

Unfortunately, I'm trying to get the contacts from her email Google account (PC) to her phone.

The phone currently has no contacts.

ahhh, never mind. Somethings kicked in & now they are back. Bit weird, got all contacts by they all appear twice!!!

Could you perhaps do the opposite of what i suggested?

Export the contacts from your PC via an emal to your phone and then extract them somehow - just a shot in the dark really :huh:
