Problem setting SMS notifications with Zedge

I am unable to set an SMS notification using Zedge. I have downloaded a handful of tones that I like. I then go to Menu --> settings --> sound --> notification sound and select Zedge ringtones. I then select the sound and it plays on repeat with the green radio button selected. I then press the 'select ringtone' button and the menu reverts to the sound menu. If I then go back into the notification menu the tone I selected no longer sports the green radio button. The notification appears to have defaulted back to 'Beat_Box_Android' from the Android System notification menu.

Am I doing something wrong?
