Guest vik1 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Hi guys anyone else had this problem - virgin media email has stopped working on my san fran overnight - am getting the following error message "cannot safely connect to the server" Googling around - it seems to be something to do with their safety certificate - but i couldnt actually find a fix for it Any one else had this problem - or got any ideas on hot to fix

Think they've done something to their certificate overnight (or its expired or something) Not sure if its a good idea to change that setting - so would still appreciate any advice that anyone has

Guest vik1 Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) Just bumping this - mine stopped working again last night - tried the safey certificate trick and thats not working!! Has this happen to any other virgin customers? updated to cm7 yesterday too - so am not sure which one has caused the problem (email was working fine on cm7 but has just stopped :P is working ok on my wifes iphone, so not sure if this is a problem with cm7 or with virgin media (hmmm) and my other email account is working ok on my phone driving me mad,..... Guest Maringer Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 The last couple of CM7 Nightlies have broken e-mail so I expect that this is the problem. I'd imagine this should be resolved in a Nightly during the next couple of days.
