Hello,

first, i'd like to apologize, if my english is too bad. I've been reading through this forum a while, but its the first time, i'm posting something :(

Here's my problem:

Since I bought my zte blade (base lutea), it keeps rebooting when i'm using certain apps:

Angry Birds (Almost always)

Gallery (often)

Navigation (often)

Quadrant (at the end of the benchmark, often)

the default App Drawer (sometimes)

(and very rarely in all the other apps)

I thought its the hardware, so i sent it to base. I got it back some time ago. But the problem wasnt solved. So, what do you think? Is it the Hardware? Do I have to sent it to base again? Or is there anything else I can do?

If you've overclocked it then that's your problem, lower the clock speed and you should be fine.

If you've not overclocked it, then I'd say it was a hardware fault - take it back for a refund and buy a new one :(

Could possibly be the battery connections. Search the forum - there have been a couple of threads discussing similar kinds of problems, where phones just reboot incessantly

The fix (I think) is to take a pin and VERY CAREFULLY bend the copper terminals out a little bit more

Or maybe to stuff some paper behind the battery to stop it jiggling

It might be that. Sounds like Base don't think the hardware is dodgy

You could test it by playing angry brids for 6 hours straight with the power lead connected

If it reboots even connected to mains power then it's nothing to do with your battery terminals and you just got a bit better at angry birds and 6 hours older

If it doesn't reboot then that's your problem - tweak the terminals and your phone's good as new

I didn't.

Even with the power lead connected, my blade immediately rebooted after I started angry birds.

But if it's an hardware issue, why does it affect only certain apps?

EDIT: Neither bending nor the paper helped. Could someone who already had that problem show me a picture of how he/she did it?

EDIT2: OK, I can add another app to the list: Navigation...

If with the power lead connected [i'm presuming the power was turned on?] it was still still rebooting then that means the problem isn't due to a faulty battery connection, so don't worry any further about bending battery terminals or anything like that - you'll only risk breaking them and wrecking your phone

Have you flashed any new ROMs at any point or is the phone using the standard (Base?) ROM?

Sometimes when I've flashed new ROMs they've led to similar behaviour, with lots of forced closes or reboots, meaning I've had to reflash the ROM and reinstall everything

I suspect you would have told us if you'd put a new ROM on so I'm assuming it's the original one on there

Obvious one - your battery is fully charged I assume

If you do nothing - just sit and watch it - does it reboot? I think you've said that yes, rarely it does

I think Swimmerboy had the right idea - you've given Base money for a thing which doesn't work

Take it back to the store and explain that it has an intermittent fault and you want it replaced with a new one

I'm using the stock ROM.

If i don't do anything it doesn't really reboot lately (especially since I got it back from Base the first time I sent it to them and changed the launcher).

I've had long discussions with Base since the guy in the store didn't want to replace it (Imagine, I'm having this problem from the moment I got it in December...and I was back in the store the day after I bought it....). First he put the blame on the apps ("It's angry birds....You know, its actually an iphone app which was ported to android, so there might still be some problems")....

Then he offered me to sent it to Base. Two weeks later, I got it back, but he wasn't able to tell me, what has been done...Obviously nothing... I hoped there could be a way to get along now without having to wait another two weeks (and without knowing if they're actually doing anything)...

Thanks for your help!
